Dee Introduces...: Terry Pratchett (!!!)

  Yesssss!!!! Okay, enough (!!!)

There's nothing more to say about Terry Pratchett. I vouch that the readers (that will be you, you and YOU) know him more than I do, i.e. his current state of living, how many books he had written etc etc etc.

Thus, this may come to a surprise that I am selling those Discworld novels that I have. I bought most of them, and although I believe each has its own unique theme that appeals to everyone of us, there is only a few that I very very much like.

Therefore, in no particular order...

1. The Last Continent, RM 20

By the way, "this book is not about Australia" is the starting sentence of the prologue. Tells you much about the book, eh?

2. Carpe Jugulum, RM 20

This book, meanwhile, is about a country, a group of beings (err... Loosely translated, of course) and the stories behind it. By "beings", I mean the dwarfs (yes, that is the word, not "dwarves" in here) and the vampires, and the humans as "kay lay fay".

3. Soul Music, RM20

This book, meanwhile, is about Death. And if I am not mistaken, the introduction of his granddaughter, Susan Sto Helit. (Opps, my bad. It's MISS Susan Sto Helit.)

4. The Fifth Elephant, RM 20

This is by far, in this page, my favourite story. It is about Commander Sam Vimes, Captain Carrot and Lord Vetinari *squeals*. Yes, my previous sentence tells you much about my ownself. And I do admit, I prefer to have a story of Lord Vetinari in one whole book. But, I digress. This is the "Sam" story. Get it?

5. Interesting Times, RM23

"May you live in interesting times", that is the beginning. But with Rincewind, you can get a lot of things going on in one book. And I mean, A LOT.

Dee Introduces...: Douglas Coupland

Part II of my book review. Here goes...

1. JPod, RM 21

-> A book from the geeks, to the geeks. Yes, you heard it right. If you think you would like to re-activate your Facebook account after watching The Social Network, THIS is THE book that make you wanna be a geek yourself.
Read it, and you will not regret. ^_^

2. Microserfs, RM 47

-> I am not biased to this book. I repeat, No, I am not.
It just that the book has a unique design for its cover (you will not find the title up front, because of a group of semi-naked geeks there). But please bear in mind that this is not THAT kind of book, it is a Geek's book.

-> Thus, I put a pic of the back cover and the binding, so that you can see for yourself that it-is-a-book-about-tecchies-working-in-the-coding-field.

No Rated 18 stuff inside. Thank you.

Dee Introduces...: The Saga of Darren Shan

So, I am selling one of my beloved novels of this year. The reason why? Just because. ^_^ It is a privilege trying to sell something you like to other people, to share, mostly.

1. The Vampire's Assistant and Other Tales from the Cirque du Freak, RM 38

-> The pic is quite dark (sorry). However, rest assured that the book's condition is near perfect.
-> Am I supposed to give a review here? Err. Watch the movie, guys. The book is clearer than that.

2. Vampire Rites Trilogy, RM 28

-> The sequel to the first book. Yes,there is a sequel. And yes, it is 3-in-one. Just like instant coffee. ^_^

3. Vampire War Trilogy, RM 28

-> The next sequel after that. It includes 3 books, too. So far, so good?

4. Vampire Destiny Trilogy, RM 28

-> The final trilogy for the Saga. I won't tell you the ending, it will spoil the fun. Suffice to say, you really want to read this whole set before you watch the second movie (if it will come out the next time).
